The Creative Cupboard

Welcome.
The Creative Cupboard is
London's smallest gallery; and this is it's blog. The Creative Cupboard aims to blur the boundaries between art, illustration, design and performance, whilst proving that a small space can be as innovative and tactile as a large gallery.

Smaller than a small

We recently avoided a court hearing with w+k who had claimed to have the smallest gallery in London. Here is what transpired:

Hello W+K.

We are concerned that you may be incorrectly claiming your L Gallery as "London's smallest". We believe that our Creative Cupboard my well be smaller. In fact, we're so proud of it's tiny dimensions that we ran an ad in Campaign about it (see http://agencyrepublic.net/campaign_republic_ad.png). Our miniscule gallery is 50 cm deep, 44cm wide and 160 cm high, resulting in a total volume of 352,000 cm3. How does yours measure up? We'd love to confirm that we're more wee ;)

Love from

Us at Agency Republic

To which their reply was:

Volume of the L Gallery turns out to be 435,000cm3. Damn. Agency Republic's is definitely more wee.

We may have to put a gallery in a matchbox.

So it was all sorted in the end.
Creative Cupboard is the smallest gallery in London. It's official.
